How Pennygood Works
You don't have to be famous to deserve a little support.

You don't have to be famous to deserve a little support.
Most support platforms are built for creators — people with audiences, content schedules, and growth strategies. Pennygood is built for everyone else. The neighbour who organises weekend clean-ups. The person who runs free yoga in the park. The retired teacher who tutors kids for nothing. The one who just shows up and does good, quietly, without a camera crew.
Here's exactly how it works.
---
1. Create your page
Sign up with your Google, Apple, or Facebook account — no paperwork, no pitch deck. You get a personal page at pennygood.me/yourname.
Your page has one job: tell people what you do and why it matters. Not why you deserve support. Just what you do. A few sentences and a photo is enough. Anya from Tbilisi wrote three paragraphs about gathering strangers at a library to talk. 28 people back her every month.
You choose your own ask — the amount you'd need to cover the basics (a room, supplies, transport, tea for everyone). It's a goal, not a paywall. People can support you whether you hit it or not.
---
2. Share your page everywhere
Once your page is live, you get a personal QR code. Print it, stick it on your jacket, tape it to the community board, add it to your Instagram bio. Anywhere you show up doing good, your page can be right there with you.

People scan, read your story, and chip in — in under a minute, without an account.
---
3. The Feed — and why it matters for discovery
Every active Pennygood page appears in the public Feed: a living stream of good people doing good things, updated in real time.
The Feed is fully public and fully indexed. That means:
Search engines (Google, Bing) crawl every post and profile on Pennygood. When someone searches "free yoga Buenos Aires" or "community clean-up volunteer London," pages from the Feed can appear in results. Your good work becomes findable — not just by your followers, but by strangers looking for exactly what you do.
AI agents and assistants increasingly surface Pennygood pages when people ask questions like "who's doing volunteer work in my city" or "how can I support someone doing good locally." Because all content is publicly accessible and structured, AI systems can read, summarise, and recommend individual pages. This is a meaningful and growing discovery channel — one that most platforms actively block.
You don't have to do anything to get this visibility. Publish your page, post updates about what you're doing, and the Feed does the rest.

4. Supporters chip in
Supporters who find your page — through your QR code, through search, through a friend's recommendation, through the Feed — can back you in three ways:
- $3/month — the smallest recurring commitment. Less than a coffee. Most people don't even notice it leaving their account.
- $6/month — a little more if they want to show up more.
- One-time support — any amount, anytime. Great for people who want to help once before deciding to stick around.

No subscription tiers, no exclusive content, no rewards. You're not selling anything. People back you because they believe in what you do.
---
5. You receive payouts
Pennygood keeps 8% to run the platform. The rest goes to you.

Earnings accumulate in your account and are paid out once your balance reaches $50 — batched to keep fees low and make sure every transfer is worth sending. You'll see a clear breakdown of what came in, from how many backers, and what was deducted.
Payouts go directly to your bank account through Stripe, the same infrastructure that powers Shopify, Airbnb, and millions of other businesses worldwide.
---
6. Keep showing up
Pennygood isn't a one-time crowdfund. It's steady, quiet support from people who believe in what you do — month after month, for as long as you keep doing it.
Post updates when something happens. A photo from the clean-up. A message after the library session. Not for the algorithm — just so your backers know their support is real. That's usually enough to keep them around.

Who is Pennygood for?
Anyone who does something good and doesn't charge for it. A few examples of people already on the platform:
- Community volunteers (clean-ups, soup kitchens, neighbourhood watch)
- Free teachers and tutors
- People running free fitness or wellness sessions
- Local organisers and community builders
- Anyone creating something good without a business model
If you're doing something that makes your corner of the world a little better — Pennygood is for you.
